Security & Access

Built with institutional data in mind

Student records, class recordings and payments all carry real consequences if mishandled. Here is what Mekalaone does about it.

01

Encrypted, always

Every class recording and every file is encrypted the moment it's created — at rest and in transit, with no exceptions.

02

Seen only by who it's for

A teacher sees their class. A parent sees their child. Nobody sees more than what their role is meant to show them.

03

Verified before it counts

Every payment through PayHere or PayPal is checked and confirmed before access is unlocked — no guesswork, no shortcuts.

04

Built to be trusted with school data

The kind of protection that matches what's actually at stake — student records, recordings, and payments.

Security FAQ

Who can see a student's records?

Only the staff assigned to that student's class or year, the student's own parents, and school admins. Access is checked on every request, not just at login.

Where are class recordings stored?

Recordings are encrypted before being written to storage and are decrypted only to stream back to an authorised viewer — a student who attended or paid for the class.

How are payments verified?

Payment confirmations from PayHere and PayPal are checked server-side against the transaction details before any invoice is marked paid or any class access is unlocked.
